Da Rulez
1) All members are EQUAL.
2) Members must take turns during the RPs. Stay in line, or we'll fry you to a crisp.
3) You have no power over anyone else's characters, nor the RP itself.
4) Thou shall not kill! Unless it's your own character, in which case it's completely up to you, or if you have EXPLICIT permission to kill a character by the owner. And be warned - if you kill without permission, everyone else will be permitted to kill you.
- Addendum: If three or more people are complaining about your character, he/she will be removed.
5) You get three strikes, plain and simple, then you're out. The first complaint will get a warning; the second a temporary suspension. The third will result in Banishment.
6) Your character CANNOT be all powerful! All characters must have a rational weakness.
7) Original characters only. The use of any copyright characters is strictly forbidden.
8) Stay in the time frame and world!
9) Please, please, PLEASE, do your best to be literate. This means using punctuation and capitalization, FULL WORDS (no u or r or ic), and so on, to the best of your ability.
10) The person who goes first sets up the base conflict and setting. You are not allowed to create your own conflict/situation separate from the rest of the characters.

*Only humans can contain elements. Some people have elements; not all do. Elements are not limited by social status. The elements and their attributes are as follows:
Fire - Control of fire, doused by water, useless without air, smothered by earth. Wild, often hot-tempered.
Water - Control of water, evaporated by fire, frozen by air, absorbed by earth. Constantly changing and flowing.
Earth - Control of earth, destroyed by fire, blown away by air, washed out by water. Steady and passive.
Air - Control of air, almost unaffected by other elements but necessary to all. Peaceful, non-violent; quiet and calm.
Special Elements
Darkness - Control of shadows. A consumptive element, the energy of the darkness feeds on the life force of the elementalist, almost always fatal.
Spirit - Allows the elementalist to commune with the Great Spirits. Spirit elementalists almost always become priests or priestesses.
** Please be aware that any of this is subject to discussion; if you want to go outside the box, I completely encourage you to do so. The only thing I ask is that you talk to me first and get it approved. ^^
On elements and mages:
Humans didn't have elements until they started marrying and procreating with mages, and then it basically evolved. Mages, in a sense, contain all of the elements, which is what makes them mages. Now, it's no longer necessary for a human and a mage to get together to have elementalist children, because of this evolution.
On mages:
They were originally banned because a group of mages were plotting to overthrow the Sultan and assassinated a bunch of important people. The current Sultan is the son of the one they tried to overthrow. Just outside the city, the Outlands are decent enough, but further out they're pretty much desert, which turns to mountains past that. A few are in it for revenge, and a few want control, but most of them are just decent people who want their home back. For the most part, they look normal; the only big difference is that most of them have light hair and eyes, whereas most of the people in Tyrne look more Middle Eastern. As for abilities, they're pretty much the standard idea of sorcerers; they cast with staffs or wands, depending on personal preference; most spells are nonverbal. Using magic uses energy, and the bigger the spell, the more energy it takes, but it's not super draining. Please let me know before creating a mage; I'll explain why then.
